A Rochester man, accused of shooting an RIT student to death in a Henrietta hotel eight years ago, was supposed to be in court Tuesday morning but the case was adjourned.

Michael Baccari, 56, was arrested in September and charged with the 2004 murder of 33-year-old Paul Pelletier.

Pelletier was working the overnight desk at the comfort inn on Hylan Drive when he was killed. At that time, investigators believed it was an attempted robbery.

According to court papers, police say Baccari walked into the hotel with at least one accomplice but there have been no more arrests.

Baccari is being held in the Monroe County Jail without bail.
