A Rochester man, convicted twice of murdering one woman, will spend the next three decades in prison.
Tuesday morning, Jeffrey Miller was sentenced to 25 years to life for shooting and killing Shunda Cuyler, whom he had a relationship with.
Culyer was shot multiple times on Woodbine Avenue as she was leaving her house with a friend in 2005. Miller was also sentenced to seven years on an assault charge for shooting Culyer’s friend, Freddie Collins. He survived.
Miller was originally convicted in 2006 but the verdict was overturned in an appeals court because of technical issues.
