Canandaigua has a new superintendent.
The Canandaigua City School District Board of education unanimously appointed Lynne Erdle as the district's new superintendent effective immediately.
Erdle has been the interim superintendent for the past four months since former superintendent Donald Raw retired in August. The president of the board of education says they made the decision after an open and inclusive search process.
Erdle's salary has been set at $175,000 a year through the end of the 2014 school year.
She is the 14th superintendent of Canandaigua schools.
