Daniel Rosa 24, and 20-year-old Mariangelina Colon-Rentas, both of Rochester, and 17-year-old Lynnett Colon also of Rochester have all been charged in connection with a robbery and assault on North Goodman Street about 11:10 p.m. on November 23.

An officer on routine patrol in the area of the 1800 block of North Goodman Street that night reported observing a woman being dragged across North Goodman Street by a man and a woman carrying a metal baseball bat. A second woman was seen standing on a nearby sidewalk, going through a black purse.

The officer stopped and the couple let go of the woman being dragged. Another officer arrived and the two ordered the woman to drop the baseball bat.

Other patrol cars arrived, and the individuals were separated to obtain more information.

The victim said she was sitting at a bus stop at the corner of Reynolds Avenue and North Goodman Street when a van pulled up and she was physically attacked and struck with a baseball bat. She was transported by ambulance to Rochester General Hospital for treatment of her injuries, which. were not life threatening

The victim said her bag with her $200 cell phone, a pair of sneakers, personal papers and costume jewelry was missing at one point.

A van was found parked on a sidewalk, still running, with an infant in an unsecured car seat.

The two women and man said they were tracking a stolen cell phone through a GPS device and it led to the area of the 1800 block of North Goodman St. They apparently thought the victim had the phone, but the one in her purse was her own, officers said.

Rosa was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
