Bullet shot through home in Town of Darien

Sheriff's Deputies in Genesee County are looking for the person responsible for firing a bullet into a home in the Town of Darien. The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Thursday at a home on Broadway Road.

Investigators say the 45-caliber shotgun slug entered the home through a sliding glass door in the back of the home. According to deputies, one of the people inside the home escaped getting shot in the head by just a matter of inches.

No one was injured but the bullet did cause nearly $1,000 worth of damage to the residence.
