The Salvation Army is just past the halfway mark in its 2012 Red Kettle campaign and so far, nearly $195,000 has been raised but officials have a goal of $560,000.
More than 6,400 people have signed up to volunteer and the Salvation Army is hoping to see about 10,000 volunteers by the end of the campaign.
Organizers are happy with the donations they have received so far but say they still need more support.
The campaign runs through December 24.
