I Team 10 has learned a Rochester doctor has been disciplined by the state after admitting to negligence on more than one occasion.
According to a posting on the state health department's website, Doctor Joseph Grossman, whose office is at 1304 Portland Avenue, was placed on probation for three years, is permanently banned from prescribing many narcotic controlled substances and will only be allowed to practice pediatrics and pediatric neurology.
The New York State Board for Professional Medical Conduct had accused Grossman of negligence relating to 12 different patients. In many of the cases, the board found that he had prescribed pain killers without completing medical histories on the patients and failed to maintain accurate medical records.
The disciplinary action takes effect December 10th.
