Man arrested for bank robbery in Irondequoit

Police have arrested a man accused of robbing a bank in Irondequoit.

Police say 52-year-old Kevin Wood entered the Relient Federal Credit Union on Titus Avenue just after 9:00am and handed the teller a note demanding money. Police say Wood was given undetermined amount of cash and then left the bank.

With the assistance of NY State Parole, FBI and Greece Police, the Irondequoit Police found Wood in a parking lot in the area of Fetzner and Ridge Road in Greece. Wood was taken into custody after attempting to flee and striking several parked cars and hitting a utility pole.

Wood was arrested for robbery and larceny. He will also be charged in Greece for other pending charges.
