For the first time, News10NBC is hearing from the young man police say was the target of a disturbing video posted on Facebook.
Police say three teens burning a sweatshirt belonging to another teen named Alex. Investigators say the group threatened him and used racial slurs.
The sweatshirt the teens burned was given to the young man as a gift from Noel Parcells, a girl who was killed by her father in the Adirondacks last year.
Alex, along with his parents, spoke out about the incident Tuesday.
Alex Hare said, "I was appalled, disgusted by the entire fact of them even making it from the beginning."
Michelle Hare said, "We want to see change in our community. We want people to take this seriously. We want people to know that there are issues that we haven't addressed and we, we have to come together, we as the adults need to come together for our kids.
We have to teach them. We have to set an example."
Police say 18-year-old Nick Robare, who is heard on the video, posted it on Facebook. He's been charged with aggravated harassment.
