A Brighton High School student, who police say slammed his car into the back of a school bus seriously injuring his friends, has been indicted on felony charges. The crash was in October on Warren Avenue in Brighton.
News10NBC has learned a Monroe County Grand Jury has indicted 16-year-old John Zakhary on two counts of assault, reckless endangerment, reckless driving and failure to stop at a stop sign and speeding.
Zakhary will be arraigned in the coming days. He could face up to seven years in prison if convicted.
One of the passengers in the car, Scott Collins, is currently going through intensive therapy. He was trapped inside the car.
