It's the first of its kind facility in upstate New York. Wednesday morning, the university of Rochester Medical Center opened the doors on a new stem cell manufacturing facility.
The purpose of the facility is to manufacture cells that can be used in studies like multiple sclerosis spinal cord injuries, Parkinson’s disease and cancer.
Officials say this will make Rochester a magnet for stem cell clinical trials.
