After a year hiatus, the Rochester International Airshow is returning to the Greater Rochester International Airport.
Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks announced that the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will take to the skies at the airport on Saturday June 1 and Sunday June 2, 2013.
The Thunderbirds are the official air demonstration team of the United States Air Force. They were the featured performers for the Rochester Airshow in both 2005 and 2008. This is the third time in the last eight years that Rochester has been selected to host the Thunderbirds. The last airshow was held in 2011 and featured the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels.
More details will be announced at a later date.
