According to the Rochester Police Department, a man was found bleeding outside of a car on Atlantic Avenue in Penfield.
Police say this started around 7:00pm, when someone noticed a man outside of a car bleeding near Atlantic Avenue, and Five Mile Line Road in Penfield. That person then called 911, fearing the man might have been hit by a car.
Monroe County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the area, along with the Rochester Police Department. Officers determined that the 44-year-old man, from Penfield, was cut on his arm, and not hit by a car. They say he was cut during an incident that happened in the City of Rochester. They say he told them he was heading home.
Police tell us the man is being uncooperative, and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital to be evaluated, however, they are not elaborating on why the man was cut, or where.
A portion of Atlantic Avenue was shut down for more than 2 hours.
