Thanks to your generous donations to this year's pirate toy fund drive, hundreds of children affected by Superstorm Sandy will not be left out this holiday season.
Volunteers have been working hard Thursday, trying to get thousands of toys in the hands of young victims affected by the storm.
News10NBC has been working with the Pirate Toy Fund for the last 13 years, but this year is a little different. Thousands of toys that were donated to the fund this year will go to kids affected by Superstorm Sandy.
Volunteers packed up a truck Thursday, to prepare for the big trip to Staten Island. The volunteers will be heading out to Staten Island early Friday morning. News10NBC's Joangel Concepcion will be traveling with them as they pass out several toys to kids affected by Superstorm Sandy. She'll be covering the events throughout the entire weekend.
