A two car crash in the Town of Waterloo Thursday night left one woman dead and three people, including two children, with minor injuries.

According to Seneca County Sheriff's Deputies, Jean White of Waterloo was driving northbound on Brewer Road when she failed to yield at the intersection of State Route 96. Her car was hit by a pickup truck driving east. Both vehicles ended up in a ditch on Route 96.

Deputies say White had to be cut out of her car by firefighters. She was airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Hospital where she was declared dead.

The driver of the pickup truck, 70 year old Stephen Lansing of Phelps and two passengers, ages 11 and 9, suffered minor injuries.

A portion of Route 96 was closed for a little over two hours Thursday night.
