Stuffed Hugs for Sandy Hook

A local woman is on a mission to comfort the children who attend Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut after last week’s tragedy.

Amy Dickason has started what she calls a giving event called “Stuffed Hugs for Sandy.” She says her mission is to gather enough stuffed animals so that any child from Sandy Hook Elementary School who wants something to cuddle and hold tight, can have a stuffed hug.

There are several donation locations including the First Baptist Church of Rochester and Technotic Media on Gravel Road in Webster.

All donations should be made before December 22 to ensure delivery of the stuffed hugs before Christmastime.

Organizers say they are adding new locations so please visit their Facebook page for more information.
