Wednesday morning, officials in the Holley Central School District say they were notified of a bomb threat written inside the school. That threat is the second incident in a week that school leaders have been dealing with.
School officials have also implemented a school lockout for Friday, December 21 after receiving word of a threat for that day.
The threat Wednesday morning came after an administrator notice a bomb threat was written in the bathroom wall.
News10NBC is told police were immediately called and the middle and high school was evacuated to the elementary school until the police could check the building. No bombs or weapons were found and students and staff returned to the building.
Police and Holley School District officials say they are also investigating a potential threat to the schools on Friday, December 21.
The District released a statement saying students and staff brought the potential threat to the districts attention. They won't comment on what kind of threat it is but did say that this Friday the school will be on lockout. That means students teachers will go about there day but doors will be locked and police will be at the main entrances of the schools.
A basketball game scheduled to be played Friday night has been changed to an away game.
The District says police are monitoring all schools 24 hours to make sure the building is secure.
