Rochester residents collect stuffed animals for Sandy Hook Elementary

In the wake of the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, thousands have begun to combat the act of violence with random acts of kindness.

In Rochester, volunteers have started a program called Hugs for Sandy Hook.  Stuffed animals are being collect at fire stations across Monroe County. Those stuffed animals will be sent to Newtown before Christmas. Lia Lando spoke with one of the volunteers collecting animals at a Rochester fire station on Lyell Avenue.
