Thursday marked the final day of Xerox’s annual “Operation Food Basket” campaign.
More than 400 volunteers from Xerox and its partners gathered to collect donations and buy food to help fight hunger this holiday season.
News10NBC saw the fruits of their labor at the Xerox facility on Phillips Road in Webster Thursday morning.
Volunteers began collecting money in July and were able to raise more than $45,000 to fund this year's campaign.
Xerox retiree Gary Mroczek said, “Today we're putting together food baskets, really it's more than a basket it's like a whole weeks worth of food for over 2,000 people in the Rochester community about 370 families will receive baskets."
Volunteers do everything from collecting the donations to buying the food and even delivering the boxes of food.
Xerox's “Operation Food Basket” is now in its 32nd year.
