Downed utility pole caused issues for drivers on Empire Boulevard

A downed utility pole that fell across Empire Boulevard caused some issues for drivers Saturday afternoon.

Sheriff's deputies tell News10NBC two cars hit the pole at around 3:30 p.m. That crash caused the pole to fall onto Empire Boulevard.

One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Officials reopened the road at about 8:00 p.m. Saturday.
