nullA man was hurt and taken to the hospital after an apartment caught fire at Lake View Towers on Lake Avenue.

Fire officials say the fire set off an alarm around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday. They say it started on the 12th floor of the high-rise apartment and heavy smoke was seen from the 13th floor. They were able to put out the fire in 12 minutes.

Rochester Fire Department Captain Joseph Luna says the man living in the apartment where the fire started was found in the hallway with smoke inhalation and burn wounds.

Cpt. Luna says some residents were evacuated to other parts of the building. When the fire was put out, residents were allowed back, except those living in apartments near to the one where the fire started.

Officials tell News10NBC that apartment is badly damaged.
