Many hotels in our area are offering free rooms to relatives and first responders in town visiting for Saturday's calling hours for the two fallen West Webster firefighters.
Tabs for many other rooms are being picked up by local groups and people across the country.
One of those hotels is the Hampton Inn in Webster. On Saturday afternoon, the hotel served as a place for people to gather for free food and drinks and talk about the calling hours.
Jaime Dengal is the Director of Sales at the Hampton Inn. She said area businesses have also donated gift cards so the firefighters don't have to pay for any meals while they're here.
She says, "It's important because in a community like Webster, everybody knows everybody. So you want to do anything that you can to help the community itself."
News10NBC is told the Hampton Inn is hosting firefighters from across the country, as far away as Orange County, California.
