Eagle Scouts in our area had the chance to talk with successful business leaders at a dinner honoring scouting achievements.
More than 400 people attended the Eagle Scout Mentor Dinner held at Burgundy Basin Inn. The event honors the Eagle Scout Centennial Class of 2012.
Awards were given out to Eagle Scout alumni as well as the award for "Eagle Scout Project of the Year", which went to Kyle Kuebler of Troop 110 in Webster. He organized a project to make improvements to the Finger Lakes trail.
Kyle Kuebler, Eagle Scout Project of the Year winner, said, "A bunch of family members, my dad, my uncles, they all became eagle scouts. I really just wanted to continue the tradition. Just the lessons it teaches you are incredible."
More than 100 mentors from different areas of the community were at the dinner sharing their expertise with the scouts.
