nullThe two West Webster firefighters who survived the Christmas Eve ambush have been released from the hospital.

Strong Memorial Hospital officials tell News10NBC that both Theodore Scardino and Joseph Hofstetter were released Saturday morning.

Both firefighters were seriously injured during the Christmas Eve ambush in Webster. During that shooting, two other firefighters, Lieutenant Mike Chiapperini and Tomasz Kaczowka, were shot and killed.

Joe Hofstetter's brother Dave posted a photo of Joe with home with his dog on Twitter on Saturday.

The tweet said:

"Joe Hofstetter has been discharged from Strong and is very happy to be home with his dog Bosco."
