Do you remember to change lanes or slow down when you see an emergency vehicle or a tow truck on the side of the road? It has been a year since the state's expanded "Move Over" law took effect. News10NBC wanted to see if police believe its working.
According to State Police, more than 780 tickets have been issued in "Troop E", which comes the Rochester area.
Drivers in New York are required to move their vehicles to the next lane over, if it is safe to do, when they see an emergency vehicle, tow truck or maintenance vehicle pulled over. If they can't move over, drivers must slow down.
