The Ontario County Sheriff's Office says a Farmington house was evacuated Friday night after a prank caller told the residents their house was going to blow up.
Deputies tell News10NBC that the residents of two connected apartment on Terrace Lane in Farmington were forced to leave their homes for forty minutes around 8 p.m. Friday night. During that time, investigators searched both residences with a K9 unit for any potential dangers, but were unable to find any dangerous items.
Investigator believe the phone call the resident received was a prank call by a juvenile male. The case has been turned over to the Sheriff's Office Juvenile Aid Division.
