nullState police say a man wearing a BB pistol in a shoulder holster has been arrested at a northern New York school where a staffer said he'd been stalking her.
Troopers say 60-year-old Steven Wells of Norfolk was locked out of the classroom spaces at Norwood-Norfolk Central School and arrested without incident in the middle school office at about 8 a.m. Friday.
They say suspicious school officials called police after Wells arrived and said he had a package for the unnamed staff member, who told investigators Wells had been harassing her for several days.
Wells was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, first-degree harassment and fourth-degree stalking.
He's being held in the St. Lawrence County Jail. Court officials weren't available to say if he has a lawyer.
