Woman stabbed multiple times at downtown Rochester high-rise

Rochester Police say a 53-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times at a high-rise in downtown Rochester.

Police swarmed the area around Andrew Terrace Apartments on Saint Paul and Andrews Street. News10NBC was there as emergency crews brought the woman down to an ambulance.

She was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital. There is no word on her current condition but Rochester Police Commander Tim List said, “They found a female victim in the stairwell between the 18th and 19th floors. She had multiple stab wounds and she was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with possible life threatening injuries.”

News10NBC is told investigators are speaking to a person of interest.
