Family members and friends of a man who was killed in a car-pedestrian crash, gathered for a vigil tonight.

Vaughn Steele was found lying on the side of the road on East Avenue near Kilbourn Road Monday night. He was pronounced dead at the Hospital a short time later. The Penfield resident was 26 years old.

People held candles and stood together at the spot where Steele was found. We spoke with Steele's brother, Juan, Who told us what this vigil meant to him.

“To me what it means we just celebrate you know, my brother's life of just humanity, you know people that was good people. and that's what my brother stood for he was a good person, all around you know.”

Family members told us tonight Steele's funeral is tomorrow.
Michael Hanna of Irondequoit has been charged in connection with the crash.
