A Seneca County father, charged in connection with his son's death four years ago, was arraigned Monday.
Karl Karlsen was arraigned on charges of second degree murder and insurance fraud in Seneca County Court. He plead not guilty with his attorney present. He appeared in court without an attorney in December. His attorney asked for bail, but the judge denied bail.
Karlsen's son, Levi, died in 2008. He was found crushed under a truck he was working on at the family's home in Romulus.
Karlsen was charged in November with his son's death and is also under investigation in California for the death of his wife 21 years ago.
He is scheduled to reappear in court in April.
