It’s a win for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra in court. A Supreme Court judge has ruled in favor of the RPO regarding a lawsuit filed by a community group.
That lawsuit requested a temporary restraining order against the organization to stop a new Board of Directors from being elected. Judge Kenneth Fisher denied the request saying issues raised in the lawsuit weren't valid.
It's been a contentious debate between the RPO and the community group which supports ousted conductor Arild Remmereit.
The RPO decided in November to terminate his contract early. He was let-go last month.
