Albion woman facing drug charges after eight-month investigation

A 51-year-old Albion woman is under arrest after an eight-month investigation into the sale and distribution of prescription pills in Holley and Albion.

Diana Paone is charged with criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance and criminal diversion of prescription medications and prescriptions.

The Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force tells News10NBC they seized a variety of prescription narcotic medications including hydrocodone, oxycodone and hydromorphone.

Paone was arraigned and remanded to the Orleans County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash abil or $50,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing and sheriff’s deputies say more arrests and charges are pending.
