Too little, too late -- that's what Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks is saying about a proposal to keep MCC downtown campus at the Sibley building.

Winn Companies which now owns the property is claiming its plans for MCC would have saved taxpayers 1$8-million. The owners held an open house at the Sibley building Thursday afternoon and released its renovation plans for the facility which included MCC.

The County plans to move the campus to the Kodak site on State Street where Brooks says the college has room to expand. “I reject the premise of possible savings because the analysis has been done based on MCC needs and you see everybody saying the same thing -- Kodak is the site that responds to those needs.”

The Monroe County Legislature is expected to vote on MCC's possible new campus on the Kodak property later this month.
