Survey: 16% of workers arrive to work late at least once a week

What was your excuse the last time you showed up for work late?
 
CareerBuilder once again asked employers to share the most outrageous excuses from tardy employees.
 
Here are three:
- I dropped my purse into a coin-operated newspaper box and couldn't retrieve it without change, which was in my purse
- -My car wouldn't start because the breathalyzer showed I was intoxicated
- My angry wife froze my truck keys in a glass of water in the freezer.
 
The annual survey also found 26-percent of workers admit to being tardy at least once a month and 16-percent are late once a week or more.
