It is Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday. There's a celebration in Rochester that is raising money to help premature babies.
This is the 12th annual "Fat Tuesday" party to benefit the March of Dimes. Live music filled the Water Street Music Hall. There was plenty of free food and Mardi Gras beads to go around.
Bill Murray, event chair, said, "It's not your typical kind of thing where you're going to go out and do something totally selfless. This is something you have a good time doing and still do good for the community and for babies."
Over the past 12 years, organizers say thousands of people have raised more than $280,000 to help babies.
