A Georgia man is accused of illegally selling dozens of handguns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition here in Rochester.
Liddon Young, 32, of Atlanta, Georgia is facing several charges.
The U.S. Attorneys Office says that according to court paperwork Young sold more than 45 handguns and ammunition to a Rochester-based associate over the last four months. The gun sales took place in both Rochester and Atlanta.
The paperwork says after purchasing the guns from Young the associate then sold the guns to others in the Rochester area.
The office says police arrested Young last week.
During the investigation the U.S. Attorneys Office says federal agents and local police recovered 14 handguns, more than 800 rounds of ammunition and a bulletproof vest.
If he's convicted, Young faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
