The Ontario County Board of Supervisors was supposed to meet on Thursday to discuss Governor Cuomo's Safe Act.
The original proposal being considered called for a closer look at how the new gun laws were passed, but on Thursday night it went one step further.
The Seneca Town Supervisor presented an amendment that calls for the repeal of the governor's legislation altogether.
After two hours of comments and discussion from residents and experts, the board decided to lay over the decision until its next meeting on March 7th.
Geneva's City Supervisor says he hopes by laying it over, it will cause more discussion and better prepare the board to make a decision.
