Three people injured in Elba crash

The Genesee County Sheriff's Office tells News10NBC a two car crash Saturday night on Route 98 in Elba injured three people.

Deputies say that 18-year-old Ashley Deskins, of Holley, was traveling south on Route 98 in Elba when she lost control of her vehicle and spun into the northbound lane. Deskins's vehicle then struck another car traveling north that was being driven by 41-year-old Gina Delelys of Elba.

Deskins's car went off the road after the collision and came to a rest in a field.

Officials say that Ashley Deskins and a passenger Jessica Deskins in her car were both injured and taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment. Hospital officials say Jessica is currently be treated in the intensive care unit.

Delelys was injured during the crash and she was taken to a local hospital. An infant passenger in Delelys's car was also taken to the Erie County Medical Center.

Deputies say that Deskins was traveling at an unsafe speed at the time of the crash.
