U.S. Marshals have tracked down a former Western New York teacher more than a month after they say she cut off her ankle monitoring bracelet and left town.
Cara Dickey was on parole after admitting in 2009 to having an inappropriate relationship with a student in Buffalo. News10NBC reported last month that she cut off her monitoring bracelet.
Over the weekend, marshals tracked down Dickey and her girlfriend to a motel outside of Chicago. Dickey was arrested for prostitution last Wednesday in Illinois and investigators say she gave a fake name and ID at the time.
Police are hoping to bring both women back to New York by next week.
