East Avenue Wegmans closes at 6 p.m. Saturday

It's the end of an era on East Avenue. The smallest Wegmans in the country will close its doors Saturday, making way for a new, much bigger store.

Shoppers will have until 6 p.m. Saturday to stock-up. The store will be demolished and turned into a parking lot.

Wegmans says the store’s 400-plus employees will be temporarily relocated to other stores until the new location opens on May 19.
