Parents who have children just beginning their education will have more enrollment options in the Rochester City School District.
Superintendent Bolgen Vargas says the pre-k and kindergarten enrollment center will be moved from Martin Street to the District's headquarters on Broad Street.
An added convenience -- special parking spaces next to the building and parents can also enroll their children online.
Vargas says the ideas came from conversations he had with parents. “Families have been telling me for the past year and a half that we need to be more parent-friendly and one area which was unanimous is to make the registration process more friendly. Not just the process, but location.”
Vargas also set up four locations across the city that will be open once a week for enrollment.
