News10NBC is continuing to track the impact big spending cuts could have on you. If Congress does not come up with a plan, billions of dollars in automatic spending cuts will take effect Friday and the Rochester airport could be directly impacted

Our airport, along with airports in Buffalo and Syracuse, could lose overnight air traffic controllers. Also locally, funding for Head Start could lose $700,000 and children could be cut from the program. Teachers could be laid off and federal employees could also be forced to take furloughs.

President Obama will visit a Virginia shipyard Tuesday where builders are worried about their jobs.

Congress has the power to delay the budget cuts but with no compromise on the horizon, it's still up in the air whether lawmakers will vote to do that.
