Spencerport railroad bridge removal to begin in Spring 2013

C.P. Ward -- a local construction company -- has been awarded the contract to remove three abandoned and graffiti-ridden railroad bridges in Ogden and Spencerport.

According to Senator Charles Schumer, CSX plans to begin work on the Union Street Bridge in Spencerport and the other two bridges -- Manitou Road and Washington Street -- in Ogden will follow.

Pending permit approvals, CSX anticipates work beginning as soon as the spring.
