It was a friendly game of basketball tonight in Pittsford , and it was all played for a good cause.
Students from the Reality Check Groups in Pittsford Schools organized the entire event, and even chose this year's charity.
Money raised from tonight's game will go toward the Center for Youth in Rochester. Teachers and staff from Pittsford Mendon and Sutherland schools played in the game, which is now in its fifth year.
Reality check is a state wide youth led group which teaches kids about tobacco use and advertising.
Beth Kecskemety, a health teacher with the Pittsford Schools said, “our group, Reality Check, is out there letting teens know specifically they are being targeted and teaching them how to be savvy and how to avoid that."
Since the basketball games were started five years ago, organizers say more than $2,000 have been raise for charity groups.
