Local prayer service held ahead of conclave

Prayers were offered Sunday night for the cardinals who will gather to select the next pope.

The Diocese of Rochester invited everyone from around the community to attend a prayer service at the Sacred Heart Cathedral ahead of this week's papal conclave.

Formal pre-conclave meetings resume on Monday. The cardinals will cast their first ballot for the new pope on Tuesday.
