Producers for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” movie are coming to Rochester this Friday to scout out locations to shoot. One of the scenes shot here will be a car chase.

The production company is expecting to shoot for 10 to 15 days in Rochester filming for the next movie. No schedule has been released yet but we're told scenes will be shot in New York City and Long Island as well.

“The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is expected to generate millions of dollars for those locations. For example, 3,000 hotel room nights will be booked in Rochester and the crew has to eat here as well, so local restaurants will benefit.

The state's film tax credit program has helped generate jobs and other economic activity through movie production.

The production company says it expects to hire approximately 250 crew members and few hundred extras in upstate New York but we don't know the specific numbers for Rochester yet.

In the news release sent out Wednesday morning, there is no time frame listed for when the scenes will be shot in Rochester.
