A call to action for Monroe County workers. The United Way wants them to raise $360,000 during its annual campaign.
The goal was announced Wednesday morning by Maggie Brooks and United Way CEO Peter Carpino. The money will help 70 programs that provide services for babies, those in need of food or shelter and even senior citizens.
Last year, the county surpassed its $330,000 goal and raised $368,000. The United Way goal for the entire area is $26 million.
