Harvard researchers have linked excess salt consumption to more than two million deaths worldwide in 2010.
The doctors analyzed more than 200 studies looking at the sodium intake of adults and its effect on blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.
Nearly one million of the deaths they linked to high sodium diets were in people under the age of 70. Nearly 42-percent were caused by heart attacks and 41-percent by stroke.
