Teen arrested after Penfield stabbing

A Penfield teen is under arrest after deputies say he stabbed another teen at a party early Saturday morning.

Sheriff's deputies tell News10NBC they were called to Alpine Drive around 12:30 Saturday morning for a report of a man stabbed.

When they arrived, they found 16-year-old Paul Luft in the road with a stab wound to his abdomen. Deputies say Luft was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

After investigation, officials say they learned Luft was at a party on Alpine Drive when another group of teens including 18-year-old Brandon Henderson showed up. Deputies say Luft got into fight with one of Henderson's friends in the roadway. Deputies say during the altercation, Henderson stabbed Luft.

After the stabbing, deputies say Henderson and his friends left the scene of the crime. Investigators were able to locate Henderson along with a two other friends at a residence on Macedon Center Road in Wayne County.

Henderson was arrested and arraigned in Penfield Saturday morning. He was charged with assault and is currently being held in Monroe County Jail.

Luft is currently listed in guarded condition at Strong Memorial Hospital.
