The deadly house fire shocked a community and on Thursday afternoon, the man suspected of setting it got a new defense team.
Michael Pilato was being represented by a public defender, but News10NBC learned that now he'll be backed by the team of James Noble and Brian DeCarolis.
Those men represented Daren Venable. He was accused in a deadly stabbing at a University of Rochester frat party in January of 2011. Venable claimed self defense and was acquitted.
The pair also represented Maxwell Wyant, a Brighton man who was also acquitted in December in the shooting death of his former roommate.
Michael Pilato is accused of setting his Webster home on fire on Cardile Drive in December 2011. His two brothers and father were killed in the fire. His mother and sister survived.
His trial was originally set for January, but that was delayed after his attorney convinced a judge it would not be fair to hold a trial so soon after the Christmas Eve tragedy in Webster.
